"My Weekly Read" Series Introduction Post

One of my new years resolutions was to read more. I am a total book worm and if I got my way I would spend most of my life with my nose in a book but I've found since I've got into year 11, and the amount of school work I have has increased, I haven't spent half as much time reading as I'd like to. So, I made a new year's resolution that I would read (even if it's just a page or two) every single day this year. This resolution is going well so far but I've got a feeling I might need a bit of motivation as the year goes on, so I've come up with a little idea.

Basically, I have decided that I will read one book between Monday and Saturday, and then on the Sunday I will post a review of that book on here, for all you lovely people to read.

This little review series is going to be called "My Weekly Read" and I'm going to try and choose some less well known books (after doing lots of research on Goodreads), so I can introduce you to some fabulous books. I'm choosing books I've never picked up before, and I've already got the first four books ready and waiting for me to delve into.

I'd also really love it if you lovely people could reccomend some books you think I might enjoy, so I could feature them in this series. I'm really into the romance and chick-lit genres but I'm pretty open to trying out any other genres, so if you have a book you think I might enjoy, drop me a comment, tweet (@Chloe_Bellamy) or email (realityleaveslotstoimagination@yahoo.co.uk) and I'll track it down and get reading.

The first of these reviews is going to be going up tomorrow, and it's a review of "My Life Next Door" by Huntley Fitzpatrick, which is the book I've been reading over the past week.

I really hope this little review series is going to be one you'll enjoy reading. I did a little post back in October called "Bedtime Reading" , where I reviewed four of my favourite books, and that seemed to go down quite well, so I really hope this will too.

Have you got any books you think I might enjoy?

Lots of Love

Chloe x

  2. I've tried to start reading books more this year too! I recommend 'The Kingmakers daughter' by Phillipa Greggory. It's historical fiction, but it's really gripping and enjoyable to read! x

    Good luck
