Review: Figs & Rouge Lip Balm

I got this lip balm in my June glossy box (reviews of all the other products coming soon!) and i absolutely love it! I have it in the shade Coco Rose

The packaging is so cute! It's a tiny tube in a gorgeous bright pink colour (each of the 3 shades - Coco Rose, Cherry Blossom and Mocha Orange (how cute are those names?) come in a different colour tube) with some yellow detailing. The tube is a reasonably large size for a lip balm tube, and it seems like it would last you a while, as you only need to use a tiny amount of the product at a time.

The actual lip balm is more of a moisturising shimmer lip tint. Initially, I wasn't a huge fan of the colour though, as this is a soft pink shade and i don't particularly like having pale lips, but I found that if I just blotted some of it off with a tissue after applying, my lips were left in a nicer baby pink shade.

One of the best things about this products are the ingredients. Figs & Rouge products are 100% natural, 100% pure and they contain no petroleum or synthetic aromas and colours. Plant ingredients and naturally occurring omega acids have also been used in the product which help to restore dry lips and keep lips soft.

Overall, I found that this product left my lips soft for hours until i reapplied the product and it tastes delicious which is fantastic. I hadn't heard of Figs & Rouge before but now i can't wait to by more of their products.

I'd recommend this to absolutely everyone and i'm definitely going to repurchase this product (maybe in a different shade though).

I give this product 4.5* (i dropped the last 0.5* because of the colour).

Have you used any of the Figs & Rouge Lip Balms before?

Primark at ASOS ~ My favourite summer products!

So not long ago ASOS started stocking Primark clothes which excites me so so so much! I love Primark because you can buy lots of lovely clothes for really cheap prices but I have to admit i do hate actually going into Primark. It's always packed with people (especially my local one as it's in the middle of the city centre) so it's so hard to find the products (or sizes) you want. So now being able to buy the best primark products online is perfect for me.

Here's a few of my favourite products that i might just have to treat myself to ~

1 ~ Polka Dot Cut Out Denim Shirt Dress ~ £15.00
2 ~ Floral Print Prom Dress ~ £17.00
3 ~ Denim Pinafore Skater Dress ~ £12.00
4 ~ Mesh Sweetheart Dress ~ £15.00

Have you purchased any of the Primark products from ASOS?

My Bucket List!

So recently i was looking through loads of blogs and i came across Mattie's blog! She has an amazing blog - go check it out! One of the things i loved the most about her blog was the fact that she had her bucket list on there. This is such an amazing idea! It's a fab way of sharing your bucket list with other people.

If you don't know what a bucket list is, it's a list of things you want to do in your lifetime! I think having one makes your life a bit more exciting as you try things that you want to do but probably wouldn't have done.

I've decided i'm going to borrow this idea (giving her full credit of course) and i now have a 'Bucket List' page that you can click on at the top of my blog (here!). There's 100 things on there, ranging from small things like riding a horse, to huge things like travelling the world. I'm going to be crossing off the things once i do them and i'm doing a pretty good job already i think.

Here's just a few of my favourite things i have on my bucket list ~

  1. Set foot on a all 7 continents
  2. Visit disneyland
  3. Have lunch in a cafe in Paris
  4. Go on a road trip
  5. Watch all the harry potter films in one day
  6. Go on holiday with my friends
  7. Have a paint fight
  8. Swim in the sea when it's raining
  9. Go to a water park
  10. Visit Times Square

If you have a bucket list (or if you just want to start one) why don't you put it on your blog or write a post about it?

Thankyou to Mattie for the amazing idea - remember to check out her blog!

What's on your bucket list? Comment and let me know! :)

*This or That - Book Edition* + Book Recommendations

Large
(image from wehearit)

I saw this tag done by the lovely Eve (her blog is great - go check it out) and i absolutely love reading so i thought it would be fun to give it a go! So here are all my answers ~

Audio books or book in hand?
Definitely book in hand! In my opinion, there's no other way to enjoy a book! I used to listen to audio books at night when i was little (i was obsessed with the famous five and the secret seven - the children's classics) but as i've got older i've got into reading more. I find i can get into the story and understand the characters better if i'm reading it myself.

Soft or hard cover?
Soft! I know that they get worn quicker but i just think that shows it's an amazing book! I normally read sitting in an armchair i have in my living room and i find it's easier to get comfy when it's a soft book than a hardback.

Fiction or non-fiction?
Fiction! The only non-fiction books i tend to actually enjoy are autobiography's. To be honest I'd much more enjoy learning about something by watching it on tv than i would reading about it.

Fantasy World or Real-life Issues?
Now that's a tough one! I love fantasy world books like Harry Potter, but i love books that cover real-life issues that i can relate to so i actually don't think i can choose.

Harry Potter or Twilight?
HARRY POTTER HARRY POTTER HARRY POTTER! It has to be my most favourite book series ever ever ever! I literally cry when i read all the books (even now when i've read them so many times). I started to read twilight a while back but to be completely honest i got so bored i just stopped!

Kindle, iPad or other?
Neither! I can't stand reading on any of the electronic things they have now. In my opinion, the only way to read is with an actual book.

Borrow or buy?
Buy. I do borrow lots of books from the library (and sometimes forget to take them back for ages oops) but thats because i like to 'try before i buy' and read the book so i can decide if i will actually read it again, if i buy it. But i absolutely love bookshops, especially waterstones! I love the smell of new books (yes i'm one of those sad people who pick up books in bookshops just to smell them) and i love being able to actually hold the book in your hand and read the back of the book, before you choose to buy it.

Book store or buy online?
Book store! I tend to only buy online if i'm pre-ordering a book, or if i'm buying a book i've seen in a book store for a bit cheaper than it was in the shop.

Standalone or series?
Series! I get so emotionally attached to characters that i just want to keep reading when the book has finished, so i love reading a series knowing that the minuet i finish this book i have the next one to enjoy! And i spend most of the time after i finish a standalone book upset that i had to part with the characters and the story.

Monster Read or short and sweet?
Monster Read! They contain the most detail which is something i love about books.

Starry eyed romance or full of action?
Starry eyed romance probably. Don't get me wrong, i love action books, and some of my favourite books have a lot of action in them, but my overall favourite genre is romance.

Curl up in your snuggie or lay in the sun?
Curl up in your snuggie. I love reading curled up in a chair, especially at night when the house is silent. I took an amazing book (The Midwife's Confession by Diane Chamberlain) on Holiday with me last summer when i went to Greece for me to read on the beach but i really struggled to get into it because of all the noise and distractions, so i ended up just reading it on the plane on the way back instead.

Hot Chocolate or latte?
Hot Chocolate!

Read the review or decide for yourself?
Read the review! I use goodreads (an amazing site for book recommendations and reviews - pretty much every book out there is on this site and all the reviews are done by readers*) and i use it to look at new books to read - by looking at my recommended books and then reading the reviews of the books. It helps me find great books to read, because all the reviews are done by readers so i can see what people with the same taste in books as i have, thought of the book. I prefer finding out if i'm going to like a book or not before i start reading it because i don't want to waste my time reading it, if it isn't my cup of tea.

So there's my answers! I tag everyone who loves reading in this tag, and if you do it make sure to comment the link to your post and i'll have a read!

To finish this post off i thought i'd recommend some books to you that i've absolutely loved! I've put a rating next to them (between 1* and 5*) to tell you which ones i liked the most -

Billy And Me by Giovanna Fletcher ~ 5*
Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver ~ 5*
Skin Deep by Laura Jarratt ~ 5*
The Midwife's Confession by Diane Chamberlain ~ 4*
Girl Missing by Sophie McKenzie (#1 of the series) ~ 5*
West of The Wall by Marcia Preston~ 3*
Don't You Forget About Me by Alexandra Potter ~ 4*
The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks ~ 5*

Can you recommend any good books you think i'll like? Comment them and i'll have a read :)

And would you be interested in any book reviews? I've done one before but if you want to see more, let me know! Or if you have any requests for certain books to be reviewed, let me know! I'm happy to read a new one and tell you what i think!

M.A.S.H!

Remember that game that everyone used to constantly play at primary school that 'predicted your future'  - M.A.S.H? I used to absolutely love that game and would spend most of my lunch times and break times sitting on the school field with my friends playing it!

Recently i was checking out lots of new blogs that i'd found on Zoella's facebook post about advertising blogs and youtubers (this one) and i discovered Nicole's blog (it's fab - check it out)! She's done a post about playing M.A.S.H online and i had nothing to do today at a family BBQ so i decided to give it a go!

And these were the results ~

I'm really happy with the results - if this actually happens i'll be a very lucky girl (except for the shack part of course, but you never know it could be a glamorous shack?).

So if you fancy 'predicting your future' online this is the website. If you do it, why not make a blog post about it and spread the M.A.S.H love!

Lots of Love
