Baby You're So Classic

Last Saturday I popped over to the hairdressers for my prom hair trial. I thought I'd make the most of having posh hair, and take some outfit photos for another fancy pants outfit post.

The 'statement piece' of this outfit is definitely the skirt. I picked up this vintage 60's wrap around mini skirt from a cute little vintage fair I went to a few months back. It was a complete steal at around £5.00 and I'm honestly completely and utterly in love with it. I'm a huge fan of mini skirts at moment and you can't really beat a proper vintage one can you?

I paired it with this black cami from New Look. It's got a bar strap back and a V neck, which makes it a little bit different to your typical cami top. I tend to tuck it into the skirt but give it a baggy look, which makes it look a bit more casual. I also think this baggy style really compliments the straightness of the skirt, which is fab.

Although we're heading into the summer months, it still tends to be a bit chilly here in the UK sometimes, so I popped on a simple black cardigan from H&M and some black tights.

Shoe-wise, I'm wearing my Topshop Chelsea Boots. Chelsea Boots are such classic footwear and they're also super comfortable, so your feet don't have to suffer in order for you to look fabulous. I think these boots give the look more of a casual-feel, but if you were looking for something a tad more formal, heels would also work well with this look.

P.S: At the moment, I tend to be using song lyrics (that work well with the look in question) for the title of outfit posts such as this one. I think it makes posts seem more original, as it's not the stereotypical blogger OOTD title, but something a bit more quirky, and it also gives you a bit of an insight into what I'm listening to at the moment.
