Blogmas Day 8 ~ Stocking Filler Ideas

Every year, for as long as I can remember, I've had a stocking, full of lovely stocking fillers, from my grandparents, and I absolutely love them. I find myself actually getting more excited to see what's in the stocking, than opening my other presents. I'm the oldest of six grandchildren so filling six stockings each year must be a huge task but my grandma never fails to do an amazing job.

I class a stocking filler as a little gift under about £15, and the gifts I receive can range from chocolate to small beauty items to jewellery and so on. The thing I love the most about stocking fillers is how much thought people put into buying them, to make sure that the gift suits the person it's being given to. Most of the stocking fillers I receive are completely different to the ones my sister receives, as they really reflect both our age and our personality.

Today I'm going to be sharing with you a few stocking filler style presents, perfect for to give your friends or female family members as either a little extra gift!

1 ~ "Mr Frosty" Bath Bomb Set ~ Lush
This gift set is £12.50 so it's slightly more than your average stocking filler but it contains three fabulous bath bombs and the packaging is so adorable so I think it would make such a cute little stocking filler! Lush also do a "Mrs Frosty" set, which contains a different selection of bath bombs so you could give the two of them together for a lovely lush gift.

2 ~ Cadbury Dairy Milk Chunks Carton
You can't beat chocolate as a stocking filler can you? The little boxes of dairy milk chunks are so cute. I was given one as a gift by a friend last month and it was brilliant!

3 ~ Soap and Glory Hand Food Hand Cream
Hand Cream is something that's in my stocking each year which is amazing because you can never have too much hand cream can you? Hand Food is one of my most favourite hand creams ever - it smells insanely good and it is so moisturising.

4 ~ Nail Polish: Essie "Toggle to the Top"
I think nail varnish is such a great little gift to pop in a stocking - especially if it is a Christmassy shade. This shade is "Toggle to the Top" which is one of Essie's Winter 2013 collection and it is absolutely stunning. I don't know if you can get it in the UK because I had a look round in all of the usual places online (Boots, Superdrug etc) and I couldn't track it down, but it's still a beautiful shade.

5 ~ Makeup Bag
A girl can never have too many makeup bags can she? This beauty is from Forever 21 and it's around £5 I think. I absolutely love the colours and the phrase describes me perfectly because I ALWAYS need lipstick. You can't go wrong with a makeup bag, in my opinion, as you can always find use for one, so they make the perfect stocking filler.

6 ~ Yankee Candle "Fireside Treats"
Candles make brilliant stocking fillers and let's be honest, what beats a yankee candle? "Fireside Treats" is my current favourite candle and I'm constantly burning it in my room at the moment. The best thing about yankee candles is, the small ones aren't very expensive at all so they make perfect stocking fillers.

So those are a few ideas for stocking fillers!
What do you normally give/receive as stocking fillers?

Lots of Love
