Maybelline Forever Strong: Mint For Life

I'm head over heels for mint nails at the moment. Mint is such a perfect spring shade and now it's back on my nails I'm really starting to get in the 'spring spirit'.

This was one of my most used nail polishes during the Spring/Summer months last year. In fact, I  think I may have actually posted a review at some point during that time (you can find it here if you fancy a read).

The colour has to be one of the nicest mint shades I've ever seen. To compare it to the 'bloggers favourite' mint shade, Essie's Mint Candy Apple, it's a slightly lighter colour. Can you keep a secret? I actually prefer this shade.

It dries to a glossy finish but obviously if you choose to use a top coat this finish may change.

Application of this product is a dream. It has a very thick formula that's fairly creamy, and is so easy to apply. You get a good colour after one coat but it can be a tad on the streaky side, so I always apply two coats. It's also got a lovely wide brush which makes application easy peasy lemon squeezy because you can cover your nails in one stroke and it applies the polish really evenly.

When it comes to drying time, this polish isn't really anything special. It dries at an average speed so the polish maybe isn't an option if you need to leave the house in five minutes, but in normal situations it'll do just fine as us girls are used to waiting for our nails to dry, aren't we?

This range of polishes have to be the most long lasting polishes I've ever tried. I've been wearing this shade on my nails for just under a week (without a top coat) and it's only chipped once which is just fabulous.

Also, shout out to Maybelline for venturing away from the stereotypical nail polish bottles and going for a shape that's a bit more exciting. It looks really nice displayed on my dressing table!

Have you tried this polish? What did you think?
